Chapter 29: Flirting with Danger
Anika’s P.O.V
“Morning Dr. Meh…are you okay?”
Fin came around the desk to greet me, her expression concerned as she looked me up and down. “Do you have a fever? Are you sick?”
“That horrible, huh?” I asked her. It was Monday morning and I looked like shit.
I knew I had to get out of this ridiculous stupor that I was in like my boyfriend had just dumped me. I hadn't eaten properly the last couple days and neither could I fall asleep. The instant I closed my eyes, that dreadful image filled my mind. Axton between Sabrina’s leg…his tongue lapping at her most intimate areas…and then his gemstone green eyes, with that pale yellow glow, meeting mine over Sabrina’s shoulders.
I knew the way I was acting was simply stupid, but I couldn’t seem to get that image out of my head.
