Chapter Eight: Let's Meet up

Alpha Jon's POV

Hiding behind a black SUV with Sam by my side, I looked on to see if Caro would show up.

I sent her a message alongside a beautiful bunch of flowers and although she was fond of tossing them away, I hoped that somehow, she'd show up this time.

“Maybe this was a mistake,” Sam remarked as we saw no sign of Caro anywhere. “It seems like she won't be showing up today. We have to find another way to get her, Jon. We should leave before someone spots us.”

“Just hold on a bit longer. Maybe, she can still show up,” I replied, hopeful that she'd be there.

For minutes, we waited, watching people troop in and out of the restaurant, still, there was no sign of her. The more we waited, the more I lost hope that she'd be there. Yet, I found myself unable to leave.

Twenty more minutes and I knew it was time to leave. There was only so much that I could do. Sam was already looking too keen on leaving and to be honest, we had stayed well over what we planned.
