Chapter 11

Luke took me to a nearby hotel, and my attention was immediately drawn to the shining sign that read "Miligan Hotel".

I wanted to convey that staying in a luxurious five-star hotel was unnecessary and that the budget hotel across the street would be sufficient. However, Luke gave me a disdainful look, furrowed his brow, and sarcastically questioned, "Who gives a troublemaker like you the right to make demands?"

Unable to find the words to respond, I silently watched as Luke, maintaining his usual aloof demeanor, walked into the hotel lobby with a desolate expression. I closed my mouth and obediently followed him inside.

It took some time to complete the check-in process without an ID, but we eventually sorted everything out and received the room key card. Afterward, Luke took out his wallet, removed all the cash, and gave it to me.

Instinctively, I declined, saying, "I don't need the money, thank you. You've already been very helpful."
