Chris’s POV

I dropped the call just like I had that I would, not even giving her a chance to protest. The gnawing guilt that I was a billionaire while my aunt whom I loved so much was struggling financially was getting to me, making me feel sick to my stomach.

And that was going to change. I waited for her to send me the bank account number, and while I did that, I made another call and told one of my drivers to use one of the other cars that go for her at the coffee shop.

When I dropped the call, I noticed a new message and it was from her. I was so glad that she had not given in to her pride. I knew her to be a proud woman, ever since, from growing up.

I tapped open the message and I saw exactly what I was waiting for. To be honest, if she did not need money this bad, she would have never sent it. That was the kind of person she was.
