I Hate Her So Much

Chris’s POV

The glass door to my office opened and I looked up, seeing my new investors walking in. Meghna was dressed in a flashy dress and her boyfriend was surprisingly wearing something that was not horrible.

I remained behind my desk as I watched them walk deeper into the office, sitting across from me in the chairs arranged for guests. Meghan flashed a bright smile, but there was somehting about it that felt insincere, calculated.

Her boyfriend, on the other hand, maintained a more neutral expression, his demeanor giving away little about his thoughts or intentions.

“Good morning, Chris,” Meghan greeted, her voice tinged with an air of confidence. “It’s lovely to see you again.” I wish I could say the same but I would be lying if I did.

I nodded politely in response. “Good morning, Meghan, and to you too,” I acknowledged, inclining my head towards her boyfriend.
