Indecision

Chris’s POV

“I will think about it,” I said in finality as I stood to my feet, walking from behind my desk and heading to the closed glass door, opening it up and holding it open. “But for now, I have a lot of work to do, this meeting is over.”

Meghan and her boyfriend glanced at each other before they stood to their feet and walked out of my office. I can not tell you how relaxed I got when they were out, I had been tensed the whole time.

I walked back to my seat and sat down. What was I going to do? Linda and I had agreed not to keep any secrets, no matter how dark it may be. And I did not want to go against our agreement, so of course, I would have to tell her.

I ran my hand through my hair in frustration, the stress weighing heavily on me. I had a lot on my plate and all I wanted to do was get all the things I had to do for the day, that way, I’d maybe be able to relax.
