CHAPTER NINETY-THREE

“I'm sorry,” I didn’t know what else to say.

“Thank you, I just feel so stupid right now.”

“Why?”

“Because I thought I had a chance with him.”

“Of course you do, I do not love him, I’m married, he will understand that and beg for your love,” I convinced her, and it seemed to be working as a little smile appeared on her lips.

“I hope you’re right.”

“I know I’m right,” I said, and she stood up.

“You’re leaving already?”

“Yes, I have a meeting,” she said, and I nodded.

“Thanks for stopping by.”

“Thank you for your kind words,” she said, and we hugged before she walked out. I walked to the kitchen and realized food was still set on the dining table.

“Whose food is this?”

“It’s for Mr. Clinton, he hasn't had breakfast,” Matilda said.

“Okay, please put it away and prepare oats for him,” I said.

“Oatmeal?”

"Yes, oatmeal,” I confirmed as I sat down and started eating my food. I was hungry, I don’t even remember the last time I ate.

“But Mr. Clinton does not like oatmeal.”
