Three of them whipped their heads toward me and I realized I had referred to him in an informal way. I was used to calling him by his first name and I didn’t see that changing any time soon.

“You know him?” Julia asked, looking curious.

“I’ve heard about him.” I lied.

“I’ve only seen pictures.” She responded and leaned closer to say, “He’s very hot.”

“We can hear you.” Anthony and Ethan chorused.

Julia smiled sheepishly. “It wasn’t a secret anyway.”

I smiled at the work relationship they had. It didn’t seem like a tense environment and even if I never wanted to intern in the first place, I was happy I was assigned to the assistant’s office.
