I would rather you were honest and said you were not feeling up to that tonight. I also don’t want you to tell me you learnt your lesson when you know full well you have not.” He looks at me, and I know instantly he is referring to today, but I can’t help but laugh.

“I mean that. That was a trick question today; it won’t always be, as sometimes, yes, you will be punished and have to learn a lesson. You won’t learn your lesson this way, and even if I did something like make you have a cold shower, you would still do it, so I would rather you say you are sorry, but you know you may do it again.” Is that all I needed to do today?
