“If I'm with you right now, I would have given you a hard knock on the head.” Maria fumed over the phone. She couldn't believe that Selena would leave the country without letting her know. She was worried sick trying to reach her on the phone. To think that's the least of the things she didn't know happening in Selena's life at the moment.

“Calm down, girl. I didn't have time to think.” Selena said, trying to pacify her friend. It wasn't working because she could literally hear her friend breathing heavily over the phone.

“Okay. I'm calm.” Maria said after a moment. “So tell me what happened?”

Selena sighed and got to her feet, moving about in her hotel room. After landing in Peru, she had booked a hotel and settled in before phoning Maria. Moving around in the new city wasn't hard for a first timer though. All thanks to Google map.
