Things were very unsettling within our tribe. We were uncertain without the strength off our Alpha, who revealed to us how strained he was without the presence of his mate. Our future Luna.

Keisha and I agreed to return to school. Even though we were not sure how Aniyah felt about the entire ordeal, we still made sure to keep our presence known to her.

Friday morning, Keisha and I stood by Aniyah's locker, waiting for her to get to school like we usually did.

"So, how are you feeling?" I asked Aniyah as she walked up to us.

"Never better." She lied. I was certain she felt the same as not only our pack, but brother as well.

"Good." I said. She turned around to smile but I could see the struggle behind it.

Once our first few classes were out of the way, it was lunch time. Keisha and I made it to lunch before Aniyah did so we could get a good booth. Away from everyone else.
