Ch 45 - Apparently I’m Dead

Everyone was waiting on Calypso, Killian, and Logan to return, when Zen remembered what Tallulah had told them about his being alive. He didn’t want to talk to him in front of everyone else, so he requested to see him in another room.

Vera naturally followed, trusting that her mate would want her there, and he closed the door after she walked into the room. “What is this about?”

“You’re not giving us any updates about what’s happening in the castle,” Zen told him.

Frazier raised an eyebrow. “What happened to trusting me?”

“I trust you, but apparently I’m dead,” Zen jabbed.

Frazier scowled. “How did you find out about that?”

“Tallulah, the Lycan we rescued, she was quite surprised to find out that I’m not,” Zen informed.

Frazier was genuinely taken aback. “I didn’t expect you to find out, much less so soon.”

“Wait, so that’s the word around? That I’m dead?” Zen asked.

“We’re trying to smoke Odus out. While I’ve tried to find out any information from the castle, no one knows anything. N
