CHAPTER 16

Katarina’s Pov

“I’m exhausted Nana,” I grumbled. Nana looked at me and smiled. She was decorating a cake. A very beautiful cake I must add.

There were people everywhere. We were preparing for a mating ceremony. A young couple had just accepted their mate bond. Everyone was happy for them.

"You haven't done anything Kat," Nana raised an eyebrow. I looked at her while trying to look really tired.

"It's not easy working and taking care of Tak. He's like three children in one." While I complained, I watched Tak through the window. He was playing with the other children from the pack.

"He's a very happy kid. You're very lucky my dear.”

“I know and I’m glad he hasn’t asked for his father yet.” I turned to her. “Do you think he needs the love of a father?"

“Don’t be silly Kat, every child needs the love and care of both parents. He might not ask now but he will in the future.” I knew what she meant. What do I tell him when we get to that point? He surely will want to know the circumsta
