CHAPTER 17

Katarina’s Pov

Those brown eyes. I remembered them from that night. He was standing right in front of me. Was I dreaming again? He was also staring at me. My wolf barked happily.

The connection was instant. I didn’t know what was going on but I was pulled to touch him.

“Long time no see, Katarina,” he said with a deep voice.

I stood there speechless. Why was he here? Did he find out about Tak? Just as I thought about him, he came to the door.

“Mummy, Aunty Maddie wants to speak with you,” my son said. Shit! I wasn’t expecting this.

“Go inside the house Tak, I’m coming,” I said and took the phone from him. I could hear Maddie’s voice through the phone so I ended the call. Tak went inside and I went outside before closing the door.

“Who are you?” I asked them. He came with another young man. They were very tall.

He frowned when he heard my question. The best thing to do right now was to feign ignorance. I couldn’t let him know I recognized him until they told me why they were there.
