341. Poisoning Herself

“Stop being paranoid, Heidi. No one's dying.” As Lucas drove his car out of the Villa, he kept repeating the same word. “Will you calm down? Your anxiety might affect the baby.”

How could Heidi not be anxious? This bad feeling in her heart was almost suffocating.

Sitting in the backseat of the car, she fiddled with her phone, dialing Isla's number. The electronic voice said the line was switched off.

“Lucas, hurry. Can you please drive faster?”

“It is dangerous. What if we crash onto something?”

Lucas was driving at a speed even a snail would envy.

Heidi pulled at her hair, groaning in frustration. “Lucas Harrison!”

“This is the fastest speed limit. Do you want me to endanger our lives, Heidi?”

Lucas wouldn't understand her frustration probably because Isla wasn't his assistant. “If anything happens to her, I'll hold you accountable, Lucas Harrison.”
