A tempting offer?

Heidi didn't know which answer to give first. The obvious one, or the fact that she was confused and wary as well.

“Do you doubt my child belongs to Lucas?” A protective hand went to her bump, cuddling it.

The Old Man narrowed his eyes. “Well, he accused my granddaughter of sleeping with another man.”

“That is Tracy's problem with Lucas.”

“Hey, Little Girl, will you answer my question?” His smile disappeared. “I am only asking politely because I happen to know your grandfather who has been nice to me once.”

“Why do you want me to trade my position for Tracy, Mr. Carlson?” Heidi tilted her head sideways, furrowing her brows. “And why do you want to know if my child belongs to Lucas or not?”

“It will do you good if you don't ask any questions.” He chuckled. “Heidi, just agree to my request. Don't you want to know the offer I have in store?”

Heidi was curious to know, despite having an inkling that it wouldn't be something she would easily agree to.
