51. Erasing The Evidence

Lucas paused eating momentarily, his eyes staring past the table as if reminiscing some past memories.

Tracy jabbed the spoon on her plate to grab the man's attention, secretly giving the maid a glare.

“If you don't eat, your food will lose its warmth, Lucas.”

As if he was swallowing a stone, the man's expression twisted slightly as he gulped down spoonfuls of the soup.

“Young Master, I am very good at making omelets. Maybe I should make you a sandwich,” the maid went on, feeling guilty that her boss wasn't satisfied with the food.

Oblivious that she was only fanning a particular flame, she spoke nonstop. “My sandwich may not be as good as the ones made by the former Madam, but I'll do my best.”

Lucas was once again distracted. Eating the bland food, he couldn't help but lick his lips when he heard her mention Heidi's sandwich.

“Can you please help me pour the soup?” Tracy had had enough, so she dragged the maid's attention.
