As soon as I stepped out of my car and gazed at the library in front of me, my breathing became shallow. I stared at it for a long time, seemingly studying every detail of it, but all I could think about were the memories Sierra and I made here. We usually go here after our class, even though we only stayed for a few minutes because she had to go straight to their bakeshop, we still had a lot of fun just talking about nonsense.

We constantly talk about the same stuff, like our passions and what we used to be before we met, but I've never told her anything about my family. But it's as if we were both trying not to talk about them because Sierra had never talked about her family either. The last time she mentioned them was the first time we came here, and she hasn't told me anything else about them ever since.
