Chapter 27

***SIN'S POV***

It is almost eight p.m. And time for me to meet with Mr. Cabero's daughter.

Since we didn't meet the other night, I should be making up for my behavior. Thus, dressed in one of my classic dark suits, I put on my cufflinks, as Summer walks into the room.

Standing behind the closed door, she looks so young, so fragile. I had kept her in bed most of the day, but by dinner time, she had snuck out to have dinner downstairs.

"Going somewhere, Mr. Sin? I thought..." she trails, and I watch her cheeks brighten up, a shy pink as she looks at her toes, fidgeting.

When I turn around, I ask, "Cat's got your tongue, little pet?" I tease, waiting for her to reply.

"No," she stutters, sounding so polite.

I walk over to her and grabbing her face in my hand, I hold it right, making her look at me.

"You've got something to say to me, peep squeak?" I tease and she blushes even more.

"I didn't know you had plans for tonight," she says sighing.

I chuckle at that.
