THIRTY NINE

Third person's POV

A shuddering breath let her parted lips as he said those words, she stared up as hr eyes stung with tears; of course, he had been with others, she was obviously just one of the many he'd been with, and though the thought hurt she couldnt bring herself to feel any level of shame, not at the moment at least. She blinked the tears back and forced herself to nod.

Calan let out a breath before releasing his hold on her wrist. He had seen the tears in her eyes, had seen the sad fleeting expression of sadness.

"I will not restrain your hands if you're uncomfortable". He said though he knee it wasn't just that.

She shook her head.

"Are you uncomfortable with me touching your chest because of the scars?". She asked him quietly.

And he nodded.

"Don't they bother you?". He asked her.

Touching them didn't bother her,but she was sure that she'd eventually break down if she had to think of all the pain he'd been through.

"Not in the way you think". She croaked quietly.
