Roxanne's face quickly went a bright shade of red and her eyes widened.

What in hell's uncalled for ass! She thought and quickly covered the box's lid, shoving it back into Iris's booth the very next second.

The female laughed, clapping her hand and doubling over at her best friend's reaction.

"Iris!" Roxanne warned.

"What? You looked like you needed something of such the whole week." Iris continues to tease. All thought not all of her words were jokes.

Iris had indeed noticed how down Roxanne seemed. She ate less and laughed less. All in all, she showed less emotions, almost as if she was some sort of mechanically engineered doll.

It hadn't taken her more than a few guesses to notice what was wrong. Lance. He was obviously the curse of it all. Iris had tried contacting Lance but his phone rang on days end.

His saving grace. She had thought.

"Keep it." Iris said with a sigh. "You're a grown ass woman Roxy, one that is single. Those things would come in handy."
