Chapter 13: Frustration

“Good job today too,” Diana’s voice bubbled in my ears as she came towards me. A smile blossomed on her face making me feel a little guilty.

How could I possibly hate her when she was so nice to me?

“Thank you, I have a lot of experience waitressing so this isn’t as hard, the only thing bothers me is that these people are all that I see behind a screen, facing them in reality leaves me a little star struck every time,” I said glancing at the last table that I had served of a famous actress.

“Give it some time,” she said chuckling at my words but then taking on a bit of a serene expression she looked over at me and in earnest she spoke, “But I am glad you didn’t decide to quit that day. I was honestly worried; also I am sorry for not paying attention to you. It rarely happens that a customer misbehaves so I had been relaxed and Alfeo said he would take care of you, I shouldn’t have trusted him.”
