Scarlett's POV:

" Did she say she was going anywhere tonight?"

My boss directed his question at my brother who looked at me with teary eyes. I stared back at him waiting to hear his response.

He choked on his muffled cry and nodded his head.

" Where?"

Max glanced at him.

" She didn't mention,"

" Well did she perhaps get into an argument or whatever with anyone?"

This came from Zelda who stayed a distance from the rest of us.

An argument? Who would my mom possibly argue with? Even if she did, she'd talk to me about it. I understand my mom can be hard sometimes but she wasn't the kind of woman to go about looking for trouble or poking her nose where it didn't belong unless it involved anything that had to do with she or her loved ones, aside from that, I didn't see why she would want to argue with anyone.
