Chapter 29

Since meeting Alex on the way back, Brian has kept quiet. It's like he's become a different person and immersed in his world. I often wanted to ask but didn’t dare to stop.

"If you want to ask something, just ask." Brian glanced at me.

I scratched my head, hesitant to ask. “Is the Alpha quest given to you over so quickly?”

“If not, how do you want it? Do you want to rush to the battlefield to fight? Or do you want to sacrifice yourself for the pack to get the privilege of being removed from slavery?” Brian sarcastically.

I waved my hand, smiling. “Instead of dying, I would rather be a slave.”

The road when I returned was relatively peaceful, there was no one to pursue, and there was no significant disadvantage. Thanks to that favor, the time to return to our pack was only half the time it took.
