Chapter 40

AIDEN.

Holding Celia's hands, I quickly walked with her down the passageway and down the passageway to the cell where the keeper had said she had been taken. I guessed taking her there was a part of my request to keep her comfortable in the meantime before I struck again. I wanted to make sure that she was constantly tossed between being comfortable and cursing pain.

That was my plan to continue to toss her around until she was completely dealt with and utterly broken. That was my plan and I was going to make sure it came to fruition. As soon as we were getting there, I could smell her familiar scent. I knew she was there. And yes, I couldn’t wait to see her face after all this while. I wondered what she would look like or like or her reaction would be when she would see me.

I wondered if she would throw herself at me and insult me or spew vile curses at me for what I had done to her. But I was ready for all of it. I loved it when she did so, because it meant more fun was on the way
