I took some time to reminisce over what had happened a few minutes ago. Was this some sort of sick joke, was this a dream, was this real? Those were the questions that kept running in and out of my mind as i thought about what had just happened between aiden and I.

There was no denying the sudden shift in his behaviour from predatory to gentle, kind and meek had terrified me so much while we were there. I thought he was going to kill me. I thought he was going to pump me up with hope and tear my head off with one swipe because of the way he kept cornering dangerously at me.

And the way his hunter eyes kept slanting down, focused immensely at me, I knew that something was on. I still found it hard to believe this was happening or that he was being truthful. I racked my brain, trying to think of anything that might have resulted in this that wasn't related to Ethan.

If this was true and Ethan had given him some sort of ultimatum to bring me back or he would be killed, then t
