"Suck it up! All of it!!"

The words rang in my head as I came.back to consciousness. I tried to open my eyes but they were as heavy as lead. Somehow I knew that I was in a safe place but the words I heard before I woke up weren't being said here. My eyes continued to flutter even as I tried to open them but it wasn't just happening.

I wondered what was happening and continued to try and thankfully, my eyes finally opened but my vision was still quite blurry. It seemed as though my whole body was trying to shut down. I could feel a numbing sensation creeping up my spine and shattering all around my body. I was soon staring around at a cold, sterile room, the harsh white light blinding me for a moment.

My head throbbed with severe pain, and every muscle in my body ached like I had been beaten. My groin felt like it was on fire and my cuffs and ankles felt like they had been tied for so long. I tried to move, but the pain intensified, making me wince and stop.
