"Where is he?" Klaus asked, through his demon link with his best friend, panting heavily. Markus heaved a long sigh. Klaus knew the man was probably exhausted from all that had happened in the past few minutes…or hours. Hell! He could barely tell how long it had been. "In the car, where he ought to be. I caught him trying to run, Klaus. The dude was pretty persistent. But I knew better than to let him out of my sight, knowing you would have made me an immediate replacement for him." Markus replied. Klaus's jaw hardened as he spoke, but he didn't mind Markus. He has to accept it, the dude was pretty funny when he wanted to be. "I'm glad you know that." He heard Markus chuckle. "Uhmm, Klaus." He called out. Klaus narrowed his eyes as he stepped out of the building. It was only a matter of time until the building exploded. He had given orders for the army of guards to fill the building up with explosives, and blow it up once they were out. Whoever remained inside would definitel
Klaus stood still, he watched her being lifted from his arms, and placed into a stretcher. He swallowed hard, his throat seemed to hurt from all the screaming he had done in the past few days, and hours. The drive to the hospital was barely thirty minutes. When they finally arrived, Klaus made it his point of duty, his sole aim, to make sure that the girl, Arabella, was properly taken care of. "Send the best doctor you have! I don't give a fuck about the cost!" He screamed into the eyes of the nurse, when she told him their best doctor was on duty in a different ward, and it would take "a lot" to change his workstation, as was the "hospital's policy." As they placed her into the stretcher, Klaus stood still, watching while his right nostril twitched. He did not want to admit it, but he was scared. The doctor he requested for had finally arrived. He did not know if the man was truly the best, but from the number of nurses that flocked around him, and the air of authority he possess
Arabella awakened to the melody of the birds chirping outside the window. She did not like to admit it, but she had been awake long before she opened my eyes, however, that did not matter. The pain in her head had subsided. She was surprised, all it had taken for her to regain her sanity was only the Lord knew how many hours of sleep. A small sigh escaped her lips as they parted gently. She scoffed, waiting for the burning in her throat to continue, but it didn't. Arabella's jaw hardened. How could most of the pain had disappeared in a matter of hours? The last time she opened her eyes, she could feel the world tremble as it rested on her head, and every other muscle in her body. Now, it was almost as though she was a good as new. Oddly strengthened, she tilted her neck to the right. Her eyes closed as she did so, but immediately she sucked in the scent of the ever familiar cologne, her eyes flew open. Long legs clad in jet black colored suit pants, skin of his hands hidden
Klaus Lavon's lips thinned into a smile. He could see that Arabella was more than visibly shocked, she was astonished, stunned. Her jaws could barely close, her eyes threatened to shoot out of their sockets. She had every reason to be shocked, Klaus knew. He felt worse when he was told, the shock was still visible all over his face. He stretched his right hand to her right cheek, and tilted her chin to look at him. When her bulging eyes fixed on his, Klaus leaned in to place a kiss on her forehead. "Calm down, Bella. There is nothing to be shocked about, okay? Do not let shock overwhelm you."As he spoke, her shoulders slipped down slowly. He could tell she was slowly starting to relax, but there were still a lot of questions in her eyes, a lot of emotions that sparkled in her golden brown orbs. "I…I don't understand." She started to stammer, still looking at him. "Human and demon babies are rare. I doubt I have ever heard of anyone before. Is the baby going to human or demon, o
Klaus rushed out of a room with a hardened jaw, and a stern glare powerful enough to cut through any piece of metal, glass or any substance at all. Yes, if a diamond rock was placed in front of him, his glare might have probably been more than enough to cut through that too. As he matched out of the room, Klaus could not help but think about the many ways he wanted to hurt the old man. After everything Arabella had told him, mercy was not an option. Markus found him walking out of Arabella's ward room, while he was walking back from escorting Mrs. George. His eyes narrowed on his best friend as they grew closer. Klaus did not mind that Markus stared at him as though he had seen something out of the ordinary, or that Markus's lips thinned into a bright smirk when they drew closer. "Woah! What got you so worked up? You really look like you're about to smash someone, something, anything at all. Are you alright?" As Markus stood close to Klaus, he could see that his friend was far f
Arabella's eyelids parted slowly, she was awake once again. To be frank, she could not count how many times her eyes had flickered open and close in the last couple of hours. It seemed like it was all she could do. She had barely opened her eyes when she heard the door click open and close. Arabella tilted her neck towards the door, but she could not see anyone - or anything - the room was pitch black. Arabella heaved a sigh as she tried to narrow her eyes on the dark shadow. It must have been master Klaus, she thought to herself. After all, no one else had a real reason to come into the room besides him. However, she could neither see nor feel anything. She closed her eyes, took in a deep breath, before turning back towards the door. "Master Klaus?" She called out to the darkness, but he did not respond. It was unlike Klaus, he would have rushed to her the second she called out to his name, no matter what. Arabella cleared her throat slowly. "Master Klaus? Is that you?" She c
Klaus Lavon rushed past the doors of the hospital. Adrenaline coursed through his veins as he pushed the doors apart, staring at one thing and one thing only; the empty space in the corridor that led to Arabella's room. He had not taken the threat of the old man lightly, not at all. He would have been a fool to do so, Klaus was very well aware of that fact. A man who had been powerful enough to infiltrate his household, bribe his guards, and move a woman from one city to another as a kidnapped hostage was powerful enough for his threats to be taken seriously…very seriously. As he drove earlier, Klaus found pleasure knowing that the man would be dead by the time he got back. He would have been burnt beyond recognition. Even his soul would not be able to recognize his body from the depth of hell. The thought alone was enough to make him happy, very happy. However, he was haunted by the man's last words throughout the drive. He wished they could get to the hospital as quickly as the
Breeze…laughter…giggles. All three sensations flooded her at once, filling her heart and mind with a form of peace she had never thought attainable. The air was free, boid of fear, or pain, or hurt. The stars seemed to have align above the sky, to create a big and beautiful picture of the sun. She sniffed in one long and pure breath. The giggles were getting louder, closer and louder. Arabella turned her head backwards to ecamine the fields. Green grasses, roses, sunflowers, all surrounded her. The shrubs were as tall as her waist, all smooth and silky. When had grass ever been so beautiful to run through? Ahead, she could see the back of a little girl. Dark hair, brown dress and a matching pair of slippers. When she flipped her long hair backwards and turned to look at Arabella, Arabella could see the girl smile at her, beckon and call to her. "Come on, mummy! What are you waiting for?!" The little girl's excited scream filled the entire field, echoing in her ears, over and ov
