Chapter Twenty

"Please," she screamed, trying to rip her arm from his tight grip.

He pushed her to the wall and she fell down and hit her head on the ground. He pulled out a knife from his pocket and stared at me.

I couldn't just watch and do nothing even though I could see the anger in his eyes. No one would want to stop him at that exact moment.

I was about to stop him when he just returned the knife back to his pocket and left the room. I and Sophia ran to her as soon as he was out of sight. Sophia had her hand pressed over the slight wound, trying to stop the bleeding.

Tears filled my eyes as I watched Sophia grab a bucket and mopped the floor, cleaning the blood stains. "I'm alright, it's just a slight cut, I'll be fine."

I nodded and tried to put my heart at rest but it wasn't possible.

Few minutes later, everyone was asleep except me. It was night already but my eyes couldn't close for a second. I was scared that he might come in the night and try to do something to me.
