Chapter 37: One Baby Is Enough

My lips trembled with anxiety. I bowed my head as I entered his office. He watched me using his hawk and pierce eyes. I was like a living prey, willingly coming inside of his cage to be devoured by a monster like him.

King Edward pursed his lips, his cold gaze made me chill silently. I halted from walking in front of him, he offered his hand, so I grabbed it and then gave his hand a kiss for respect.

My heart was pounding rapidly, making me have difficulty breathing. I closed my eyes when his hand touched my cheek, and caressed it like he was entertained because of how soft it was.

“Y-Your Majesty,” I gasped when he pulled me by holding my waist. Because of nervousness, I felt I was having a heart attack. He guided me to sit on his lap, sniffing my scent like he regularly does.

My body froze. I couldn't move it to avoid his nose touching the skin of my neck. His hand roamed on my waistline, moved upside and down. He grunted and I saw the paper works he had on his table.
