I lay in bed, gazing up at the sky at two in the morning, unable to fall asleep despite having slept a lot during the day. The pangs of hunger gnawed at my stomach, demanding attention, but I ignored them. I was determined, even if it meant enduring a bit of suffering. Letting out a sigh, I was about to head downstairs when the vibrations of my phone on the nightstand caught my attention. My eyes darted toward it, and I furrowed my eyebrows, wondering who could be calling at this hour.
