Chapter Twenty-six

Tiana's POV.

I won't forgive myself if this is true.

"Dad!" I whispered with a shaky voice.

"Why are you being babyish about everything. What's wrong with what I did?" He sniffed and leaned over the door.

"You made me...in fact I thought... how could you?! I never knew this" I shuttered beneath tears.

"You see you can't understand a lot of things. You're still a kid and things..." He tried coax me but I cut him off.

"Ohhhh! It's okay. There's no point in arguing. The woman we're talking about is dead already, dad. You don't need to apologize" my head spanked hard in pain as I referred mum as a dead woman. The tears I tried to calm fell gently on my fingers.

I'm still a kid. He is not the first nor second that would say that to me. Probably I'm still a kid as claimed. The scorching sun beat my fragile skin
