The Waiting Room

BRIELLE’S POV

Brielle fidgeted uncomfortably with her hands, chewing on her nails repeatedly as she waited for the hefty man she had seen a few minutes before to call her inside the room with the black door that her other redhead companion, Madeline, had entered.

“Madeline…” She repeated the name subconsciously; her throat constricted as she tried to recall her opponent's name for future reference.

Thinking back to why she was here, her nerves were getting the best of her, and even though she was seated on a very comfortable couch, relaxing her muscles, she still didn't get the satisfaction she needed.

She looked around the empty room, which had four large wooden shelves, framed paintings, and only one comfortable white couch she was sitting on.

With hairy furs and two pillows stacked close together on the couch, Brielle began to wonder what kind of mystery this place held and why the interior of the corridor and hallway was far superior to the rooms here.
