Alpha Ryder entered Alvina's chamber with a downcasted face.

Upon setting eyes on Alpha Ryder, Alvina quickly stood up and grimaced at him. “Are you here to force me to go on a mission I didn't prepare for? Uh?”

“Listen, Alvina,” he said,“ I know this might be tough for you, but this is between life and death. If you don't help me, no one can. This simply means I'm going to die.” he cried out.

Alvina sympathized with him but, she wouldn't want to risk her life either.

“Ohh… now I see how selfish you are. You want me dead so you can stay alive, right?” she spoke with a hoarse voice, clunking her teeth against each other.

Alpha Ryder exhaled and rolled his eyes as he stood with his hands akimbo. He walked past Alvina and crouched before his triplets, who were settled on the bed.

He smiled at them as he allowed them to touch his face and played with his beard.

On the other hand, Alvina stood dumbfounded as she watched the alpha king playing with his children.
