"It's my daughters we are talking about here, remember?" Elijah asked.

"I don't fucking care who you are talking about! They all can as well kiss their asses if they so wish."

It then dawned on Elijah that he was all alone after all, he had always been alone but he was probably just realizing.

Marcus was no person to be confidential about, not after all he had done to several people he had dealings with.

Elijah knew better right now. He gently got up from where he was sitting and headed to the door. He made no attempt to either look back at Marcus nor say anything else to him, and the same way, Marcus reciprocated the energy by also not uttering a word to him.

Marcus on the other hand feels empty all of a sudden. There were no more feasts in his pack like it used to. He was literally downcast and felt downtrodden for the fact that Elena was no longer with him.

The realization of it was what pierced him hard. He couldn't stop reminiscing on the good old days he always made out to Elen
