"Excuse me,"

Othello stood up and abruptly dragged his feet outside the dining hall, leaving his plate of food half-full. Chaol, who was bringing a few portions of salmon in his mouth, looks at Asty.

He saw how her eyes lowered and how her shoulder slumped down. She had already finished her food, thankfully.

"Chaol," she called out to him, to which he immediately responded.

"I'm listening."

"Would you tell me more about my brother?"

Chaol puts down his utensils and wiped the stain from his lips gently with the napkin. He then fixed his robe, making sure that he was feeling comfortable for the storytelling.

"Your brother, is a handful man."

Asty looked at him apologetically. "I'm sorry about him."
