I had never seen her before, but she pointed me out without hesitation.“You're correct,”I mumbled while I slowly rose to my feet. The fourth townLeiyaAll through the night, I was tossing and turning, unable to successfully sleep. My mind wandered to every possible scenario that my sister and her husband could be in at the moment. I couldn't think of any safe or happy scenario. They were all bad ones. My mind wasn't settled. He has this aura that made it hard to keep a straight face when I looked at him. "Four plates of your finest meal please.” He replied to my request with a small nod before walking away. While he was gone, my eyes scanned everywhere around us. The place looked calm. Everyone seemed to be focused on their business, and there was no shabby old woman or scheming young man in sight. I knew there was no luck this time, I was going to fish it out myself. The charming young man returned a few minutes later with the meal as instructed. The fifth townLeiyaBy sunrise, my men and I resumed our journey to the next town. There was awkwardness that hung in the air between Kamael and I. When I mentioned that my heart belonged to someone else the night before, he went pale like he had seen a ghost. He said nothing else after that, biding me goodnight before leaving. By the morrow, he spoke to me only when it was necessary and even then, he refused to look me in the eyes. I felt terrible throughout the first day of our journey. My eyes would occasionally wander to him on his horse, hoping that he would look at me with a smile. His charming, breathtaking smile, but he never did. By the next day, I had gotten used to him pretending I wasn't there and also did the same. My eyes stayed glued to my book and I spoke to him only when it was necessary. The first loud click of both metallic swords was the go ahead everybody else had. In the blink of an eye, swords and more swords were being slammed against each other. I was still in the middle of the three of them, but they were slowly losing balance. Ten against three was exactly what it was, a nightmare.
