Chapter Three

Sophia's POV: 

Early in the morning the next day, I woke up feeling tired. Yesterday's night was hectic. With everything that happened and how I went to bed on an empty stomach, I walked out of the room, hearing People's voices. Slowly I got downstairs to the sitting room and saw my mom and my dad tied together.

I scanned the whole room and saw four men holding Stella down with a gun while she was crying, pleading for them to leave our parents.

Then a scary-looking man with one eye and an eye patch on the left, who seems like the leader of those four guys talking to father while he was begging him to let go of his wife and daughter. 

Still, trying to understand the whole thing going on when I heard my mother's voice "take her and leave our child" my father followed immediately pleading with the man to take me and leave Stella. 

I was dumbstruck. Instead of my parents looking for a way to settle the matter, they want to give me away. 

"Why?" I asked myself, why are they always treating me like this? 

The one-eyed man immediately came in front of me, checking me out and he touched my face and squeezed my breast "so soft and tender," he said with a smile on his ugly face.

"I will take her," my whole world came crashing instantly with tears rolling down my face. 

"We will leave in an hour," he said while untying my parents and the other four guys went outside to prepare their car.

"Mum, please I don't want to go with them," I said crying. "I will pay them please, "

"How do you intend to pay them?" my mum asked. 

"My savings," I said at that moment, Stella came out with my savings box with some cash I hid under my pillow, and my mum took it from her 

"This is for our feeding and upkeep, we don't have enough money to feed ourselves, not more of an outsider,"

"Outsider?!" I gasped and Stella laughed, 

"You don't know that mom and dad picked you from the roadside and took you in as their daughter" I was shocked.

"You were never my sister," She said with a mocking look on her face 

Glancing at my mom for her to tell me that this whole drama was a prank instead she told me to hurry up and follow the one-eyed man outside. 

The man dragged me to where their car was parked and pushed me inside the car. He handcuffed my two hands and covered my face with a black cloth then, they drove off to an unknown location. 

As we were going I was pleading with the man to let me go, that I'm going to pay him double what my dad was owing him. "Do you know how much your father is owning me?" he asked. 

"I don't, but I will pay you as soon I get the money," 

"Don't worry about it when I sell you I am going to recover whatever your father is owning me," He said with distaste.

"Please, don't sell me off," I cried out.

"Can you pay me $1000," he tells me. 

I was stunned."What type of work will give me $1000 in three weeks?"

We got to the place and the four guys dragged me out of the car, uncuffed my hands, and pushed me into a dark room. I cried and pleaded with them to let me out but nobody came. One of the guys came and injected something into my body. I started feeling dizzy and just like that I passed out. 

After a few hours, I woke up with a severe headache. I opened my eyes and everything was blurred and was still adjusting to the sunlight and still lying on the cold floor, then I heard someone's voice.

"Finally, you're awake"

I looked around and saw the one-eyed man with an old woman in the room. The one-eyed man had this irritating smile plastered on his face, and the old woman was standing with a plate and a cup in her hand. She dropped the plate on the floor beside me and asked me to eat up, after which she gave me water, and asked me to follow her outside. " How long have I been sleeping?" I asked.

"Two days," the one-eyed man said.

"Two days!" I spat out the water.

"Yup," he gave me a napkin.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"We are at the auction," he said.

"Why are you doing this?"

"What?" he asked.

"I mean, why are you selling me? it's not proper you know" I said with tears brimming down my face.

He laughed and said "firstly, I'm trying to recover the money your father is owing me, and this is how I make a living. 

"Secondly, I don't care," he spits the last word with grit teeth.

After my conversation with the one-eyed man, I followed the old woman to another bigger room where I met a younger woman. I guess she is in charge of all the slaves and pets in the house. She has this wicked aura around her. She is pretty and has short black hair. She saw me and smiled wickedly, "You're new?"  she asked 

"Yes," I said 

"What is your name?" 

"Sophia," I said 

"How old are you?" 

"22 years"

"Are you a virgin?" 

"Yes," I said 

"Is that your natural hair colour?" she asked pointing to my long black silky hair 

"Yea"

She smiled, "Alright….so I'm done with you now, take a shower and change into this," she told me and gave me the cloth before I walked out of the room I overheard her say "You will make a good pet"

I went ahead to take my bath and dress up before joining the rest of the girls at the auction. We're about 10 girls at the place. The one-eyed man went forward and began his speech "I want to thank everyone for coming today. Among these 10 girls, one of them is a virgin and will be sold as a pet. The person with the highest bid will take her home," he said and pushed me forward. 

People started to bid when I noticed a handsome man staring at me. I don't know but it's like I have met him before now.  I was also looking at him when someone shouted 20000 bucks! My stomach turned when I saw the person that bid 20000$ on my head, the man looks like a sex freak with a bloated tummy and was questioning my life, when another person said "I'll double any amount made on her" I searched for the person that has the deep sexy voice and it was the handsome man, I smiled.

Then the one-eyed man said "Sophia Anthony sold to king Xavier for 40000$"

"King?"

I was shocked!
