Chapter 68

Quentin felt an inexplicable sense of annoyance. He pushed Xyla away and stood up.

"It's getting late, and it's not appropriate for us to be alone together. You should go back now."

Despite her surprise, Xyla quickly told herself that she should bear such moments. Quentin had promised to marry her. His actions must be in her best interests.

Xyla nodded in agreement and agreed, "Okay, Quint. I'll head back now."

"Alright. Let Martin take you home," Quentin replied, brow furrowed but slightly relieved.

As Xyla walked out in her four-inch heels, Quentin took out his phone and texted Martin.

"Don't bring Xyla over without my permission from now on! This will not be repeated!"

Martin could imagine Quentin's expression contorting as he read the message. He pondered whether Quentin actually favored Xyla, given his apparent disapproval. Xyla approached the car, and Martin started the engine.

Noelle called early in the morning. Quentin knew she was urging him to finalize the divorce.
