Chapter 72

Xavier yawned as he opened his eyes slightly. It was bright because for some reason, the lights in the room had come on automatically and were painfully bright.

Even with the uncomfortable light, Xavier still felt very relaxed. When he felt a weight on his chest, he looked down and smiled, figuring out the reason behind his great mood that morning.

Charlotte was fast asleep on his chest, straddling him. Her hair was all over the place,so he moved some parts of it away so he would have a clearer view of her face.

He smiled when he looked at her. Her mouth was slightly open and her hands and legs were wrapped around him, as if she was afraid he would disappear during the night.

Xavier wanted to watch her sleep for longer, but unfortunately, a loud knock came from the door. Charlotte twitched a little in her sleep, but she didn’t wake up.
