“We want to be as clear as a window,” Kristen said as she struggled to get up again. This was a normal thing for her right now. As she stood, the three men saw her bend over and get the folder of papers out of Greg’s briefcase. He had been carrying those around since the day they got married, but before that, he had a copy of her IDs and birth certificate in there as well. Knowing that this was going to come to a head sooner or later. They were on edge for a few days after the incident at the school.
