Seeing that pendant opened whole new possibilities. Every instinct in my body screamed that this indeed was the same key Karica had told me about. She must have seen it with him.

Karica trusted him and it was only going to be a matter of time before I would have to build the same trust and show him what I had never even done with my people.

I mind-linked Kamryn and told him to keep everyone away from the house. Thadieus had an urgent call so he left with Shaline with the promise of returning the next day.

Asking Adiyan to wait I rushed upstairs to fetch the Tome of Prophecy I kept hidden in a special compartment. I had that made when our house was built.

Opening the door, I was hit by her mesmerising scent that still lingered in our room. All those emotions I was keeping hidden came crashing down on me and my knees shook.
