I walked into Hailee's room, scanning the area for any signs of trouble. My eyes landed on a necklace lying on the dresser, and I walked over to examine it. It was my father's necklace, but something about it seemed off. I couldn't quite place my finger on it, but I didn't have much time to think before Hailee walked in on me.

She snatched the necklace from my hand, looking at me curiously. I felt annoyance rise within me at her boldness, but I held back from lashing out. Instead, I demanded to know where her father's ring was.

Hailee's expression changed, and I knew I was onto something. She told me that Clara had taken it and framed her with it. I raised my hands in disbelief, wondering how deep the betrayal went within our pack.

"You expect me to believe that?" I spat, my anger beginning to boil once more.

Hailee's face twisted in frustration. "Why would I lie to you? Clara has always been jealous of me, and she'll do anything to bring me down."
