A KISS IN THE SUN

Diana heaved a sigh, thinking of the question now felt awkward, she had always thought she’d be the one asking. She wasn’t certain if any of the answers floating in her mind was the right one, she didn’t want to say something that might come back to bite her in the ass.

“I don’t have an answer to that question, Simon. I literally don’t want to say the wrong thing,” Diana finally replied after much brooding, it was better she didn’t answer at all than saying the wrong thing.

Simon nodded positively, he had an understanding look on his face; he himself didn’t have the answer to the question, and he also didn’t know whether to think positively or negatively. Was he going move on this quick? Not until he got his revenge, Simon thought.

However, Simon’s understanding face didn’t go down well with Diana, she felt she had hurt him with her words. She closed the gap between them and placed her hands on Simon’s lap.

Gazing at him with an ‘I didn’t mean it that way’ look on her face.
