Diana didn’t know whether to answer Simon’s question or report to Fisher’s office immediately. This was the second time Fisher was summoning her to his office, the first experience she had, gave her a reason to quit.

Gonzalez and Fisher had the same womanizing traits in them.

Simon was curious and suspicious about Fisher calling Diana into his office, father and son might actually have something planned without the police knowing.

“Sorry, Simon, I’ve to go,” Diana said, giving him a sad look. She left for the shelf to adjust herself.

Somehow, Fisher did save her from revealing the truth to Simon, but it wasn’t much of a save, if she was entering hell itself. Nevertheless, Simon was going to ask that same question sooner or later. Fisher just mainly delayed her response, and she wouldn’t have lied if he hadn’t showed up.
