JUST ONE MORE CHANCE

Diana didn’t know why tears was gathering in her eyes, nevertheless she fought back and tried to keep it from falling down her cheekbones. She could feel Simon’s palm wrapped around her wrists. She had misunderstood him and quickly judged wrongly, getting angry at him without even thinking it through properly.

What she wanted now, was to be alone; she imagined how Julia was looking at her that moment. She hadn’t done anything to hurt Julia, Diana was still wondering what she had told Simon that pushed him to the wall, that he even wanted to risk his life for her again.

As badly as she wanted to know, she knew it’d just add to her pain, she was better off without it.

“Diana please, don’t walk out on me, I -“ Simon hesitated, sighing frustratingly without letting go of Diana’s wrist. He didn’t want to say the wrong word, if he let her go this way, there was no doubt; he wouldn’t stop thinking about it, and he wouldn’t definitely be able to forgive himself.
