Julia felt the coldness of the concrete floor run through her legs upward to her thighs, like she was just stepping on them for the first time. Why did Nick leave a note? Gonzalez glanced around the room as if he had just entered it, then his gaze landed back on Diana’s face. “Why are you so surprised, or should I say confused or maybe you’re afraid.
