Face off

Pamela:

Monday came by really fast, and it being the first day of work after a week, I looked forward to it. Not because of Charles but because I missed being away from loneliness.

This new apartment had made a dent in my spirit and I hated it so much. I wanted to get away from it as soon as possible, and now it was going to happen.

When I woke up, I hit the shower, and I picked out a very tight gown. I was determined to show Charles what he was missing. He played me, and all I could do was try to play him back.

"You are strong," I said to my reflection in the mirror as I applied my lipgloss.

After that,I put on my flat shoes, and walked downstairs. I had cold cereal for breakfast, and I rushed out to meet the driver that was waiting for me.

"Good morning, ma'am," he said to me as soon as I got into the car.

"Good morning, Joe," I replied.

I had finally gotten his name to stick. Joe zoomed off to my workplace.

When I got to work, I avoided virtually everyone I met. None of them checke
