Sally's POV

I gave my grandfather a confused look. "Those men on the highway and this guy killed my parents? My parents were murdered?"

My breath is hoarse. “You didn't tell me anything, grandpa?”

We both remained on the roof of the building in complete silence. I didn't miss the sound of the wind howling around me, covering my body with its coldness.

"I'm sorry, Sally." He sighed, truly regretting hiding the truth from me. "I will tell you everything soon, but what you need to know from tonight is that not all assassins are the same, the Donne family does not kill innocent people. We destroy evil. We protect the innocent."

He said proudly. "That's what your other grandparents meant. You're the protector."

The old man looked around. "We can't stay here long. We have to leave, now." He led the way and I followed him.

Almost everything seemed clearer at that point.
