Sixty-Three

Sally's POV

After a few days of having my grandparents around, it felt like a breath of fresh air, now return home. I would have almost followed if the old man hadn't thrown his sharp eyes at me. For a while, I thought my Donne grandparents had called them, but no. My mother's grandparents came voluntarily. Grandma said. "Call it a grandmother's instinct."

The moment my grandmother realized what was happening inside me, the lady made a special drink just for me called "Cleanse", I asked her why and she replied. "The purpose of this drink is to reboot your system. Reboot, they say. It cleans out your toxic blood, replacing it with fresh new blood. We are rejuvenating you."

Initially, the drink tasted very bitter. Her words, not mine. So she made it not bitter and it tasted like unsweetened tea. But despite how it tasted, the pain I experienced after drinking her "Cleanse" tea felt as if someone had kicked me in the head, stabbed my body with a knife, broken my leg bones into pieces, an
